CONCEPT SPORTS PROMOTIONS
The season is over and a well deserved rest will be on the menu for all you drivers that have turned out on a regular basis throughout the season. I have especially been impressed by the constant high numbers and the quality of racing from the Streetstocks and Ministocks. Other classes have risen to the occasion often with some great performances to the audience in attendance. Maybe some of those drivers who registered out of town will return and boost the numbers of the classes that became light as the season progressed. I would still like to see a faster program with more classes and more races to keep the audience captivated.
Sidecars and Minisprints are being considered presently as those extra classes, both very capable of turning on a good showing as the Minisprints have shown this season. A very well organised class, tidy and efficient about the way they collectively conduct themselves on the racetrack. Should any of you wish to jazz up the way your race cars look , I would be pleased to offer advice and assistance so you can do this. The more smart looking cars on the track the better the whole show looks.
Congratulations to Jamie Fox for securing the New Zealand Championship for the Modified section. You guys are good to watch and I wish you all the best in securing more drivers for your section too.
I have enjoyed being involved with your Club and hope you have noticed a positive turnaround in terms of the Waikaraka Park Speedway being a successful race track run by a progressive club with more things in store for the 2003-2004 season.
It is often hard to run a race program no matter what section you are in, but I commend you all for successfully pursuing your dreams to run your own racecar. You have all provided some good action throughout the season.
