|Mad Butcher Derby time again|

The second meeting of 2004 is scheduled for Waikaraka Park for Saturday
night 10th January.
The meeting will feature the Mad Butcher Demolition Derby. Entry forms are
still available from Mad Butcher stores. The ramp will be out during the
derby to give extra entertainment to the crowd. Also selected Derby drivers
will be permitted to demonstrate their cars during the meeting in a
The Sunday News troupe of International Solo riders will make their first
appearance at Waikaraka Speedway at the meeting of the 10th January. The
Sunday News World Team will race a Solo Test match against a CRC NZ Solo Test Team over 10 heats. The CRC NZ Solo Test Team has yet to be confirmed but
the riders expected to be selected are Sam Taylor (Christshurch) Michael
Long (Westport) Russell Marsh (Taranaki) and Craig Ramsey (Hawkes Bay)
The meeting will start at 6.45 p.m. and is scheduled to finish at 10.30 p.m.
the support classes will be Super Saloons, Stockcars, Ltd Saloons and Mini Stox.
Gate costs are $15.00 for adults. Kids (under 14) are $6.00, Family passes
Programmes are $3.00.
Free car parking is available in the field outside the public entrance or
secure parking is available in the Hammer Car Auction Yard, Neilson Street
opposite the Speedway.
The meeting scheduled for January 17th at Waikaraka Speedway has been
cancelled. There is a meeting at the track on Sunday 18th January which will
feature the Sunday News International Solo Troupe.
