In other general news, the track surface was expected to be laid last week, however due to unforeseen circumstances, the clay for it will be delivered next week instead of last week as initially planned. The clay is from the same source as the current track material. Lately the track has been in good condition so with the new material, things can only get better!

And now for some news about meetings to be held at Waikaraka Park in the near future, entry forms for the richest individual Stockcar event in New Zealand will be available next week. This meeting being the Stockcar Stampede which is going to be held on December 26 & 27, 2005. Entry to this meeting will be by entry only, so make sure you get your entries in quick to guarantee a meeting of top racing. The bigger the entries, the better the racing. Lack of entries will mean the cancellation of the event.

In other news, the Super Saloon Speedweek will no longer be taking place. For the date scheduled for the finale of the series, we are planning on scheduling in a decent Super Saloon Invitational meeting.

More details about the abovementioned meetings will be available in due course.

In other news, Auckland and Huntly have agreed in principle to an inter-club challenge in the classes of Saloons, Stockcars, MiniStox, and MiniSprints.  Each club will travel with their best competitors in each section to the other track. It is thought that 12 vehicles will represent each club in the Stockcars, Saloons and MiniStox divisions, and 8 cars from each club in the MiniSprints. Dates are yet to be determined for this, and more details are to follow.
